Learn to draw your own Celtic Tree of Life design with step-by-step guidance using simple drawing techniques. We start with a refresher on Celtic Knots and Celtic knot border patterns. To create other plant patterns you will be shown how to 'grow' leaves and flowers from Celtic knots. Start looking now at how plants grow, draw some simple leaf shapes and bring them to class.

Celtic Zoomorphic Art is a style that intertwines living beings (such as animals, birds, insects, and plants) with Celtic Knots and Spirals. I will take you step-by-step through the process of drawing, designing, and painting your own piece of Celtic Zoomorphic Art with birds. I will start with how to draw your chosen bird, then designing and simplifying your drawing to a clean monoline design. From that point we work through how to repeat this design, intertwining them together with Celtic knots and spirals.

This course will take you step-by-step through the techniques of drawing Celtic patterns within a circle. We will create mini mandalas with basic designs of Celtic knots, spirals and key patterns using proven formula that are easy to follow. I will demonstrate painting techniques and discuss different ways of applying colour to complete your designs. Continuing students will be provided with a project and supported with new work they are creating.

All these Celtic patterns are drawn using proven formulas that are easy to follow.

I will demonstrate painting techniques and discuss different ways of applying colour to complete your designs.

Continuing students will be provided with a project and supported with new work they are creating.
